The key to successful treatment is proper diagnosis.
Most people with ADD/ADHD experience frustrating visits to mental and medical health professionals because they are not evaluated correctly or thoroughly. ADD/ADHD often exists with other disorders, such as Anxiety, various learning problems, Autism, and other neurophysiological disorders, causing it to be misdiagnosed often.
Neurofeedback. Biofeedback. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
Neurofeedback research offers an ever growing number of non-drug treatments. For over 30 years, our Center has brought to our community the latest technological advances that have proven scientific efficacy. We recently welcomed Phillip Tirman, MD to our Center. His medical expertise will further our mission to enhance the quality of our diagnostic evaluation as well as expand our range of treatments.
In addition to offering quality Biofeedback and Neurofeedback treatment, we have added Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). This FDA approved noninvasive procedure uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain that significantly improve the symptoms of depression. TMS is a safe office procedure that does not require surgery or have the side effects associated with antidepressants.
Neurofeedback is an approach for treating ADHD that has been studied and practiced for years. With neurofeedback, individuals are provided with real-time feedback about their brainwave activity and taught to modulate certain aspects of their minds.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) means stimulating the brain directly using small electrical fields. TMS has been proven safe and can be very effective. A non-drug option, TMS only influences the brain and doesn’t alter the rest of the body’s chemistry.
